Great park. Awesome beach. Best place to fly a kite. The boardwalk is a great short walk and the playground is good. The new splash park is small and no longer unique, but fun for small kids on a hot day.

Best beach around! So much fun both when the tide is going out and going in. By far the warmest water around that all ages enjoy playing in. Knee height water for hundreds meters. When the tide is going out there are lots of rivers and pools to play in. When the tide is coming in we watch our castles be demolished or follow it waiting for each sandy island to be covered.Lots of parking (assuming you don't end up there on the same weekend as a car show). Food trucks often hang around for lunch.Sand is dense enough to hold the shade tent anchors in place even on windy days.

This place is great. There is an outdoor workout area that you can use for free and walk along the beach afterwards. There is plenty of space to move around and bring your furry friends too. Plenty of dog walkers and there are dedicated bike paths too. A boardwalk to stroll along if you don't like walking on rocks. If you came for a sandy beach you are in for a rude awakening, pretty much 95% are pebbles and rocks. The water has quite a bit of seaweed floating around as well but you can just splash it away. The day we went there was a sand castle building competition. Super awesome work by these competitors. There are food trucks on location as well, there were 3 over by us and I saw others with different kinds of food wrappers. Overall a great place to go by yourself or with the family. Stay hydrated and have fun.

Such a fabulous place. We travel down from Campbell River and make a day of it; it is worth it! Great big playground for the kids, and a waterpark attached to cool off in, and lots of space to sit or picnic in. And of course, the gorgeous beach a short walk away! Even though it has been busy when we go, it has not seemed overly crowded, because it is a large area.

Awesome beach. Very clean and well serviced. Plenty of things to see and do with very adequate parking nearby. Wonderful children's play and spray park very close to the beach. Well done Parksville!
