An interesting place. I attended the resort on the off season. It was very quiet which I liked a lot. The resort itself is quite dated, but I found it pleasant. The room amenities are standard. There is a full stove and fridge. There is a washer and dryer. The bed was a bit uncomfortable, probably due to age. The resort is quite picturesque. I didn't make it to the beach though, but there is a fair amount of wildlife such as deer and coyotes. In the summer, this would be a great place to bring the family. I'd recommend it for a summer getaway.
The 1br suite was nice looking, the staff were friendly, the kitchen was well-stocked with utensils and cookware, BUT... the mattress was arguably one of the worst my husband and I ever tried to sleep on. We were sorely disappointed in that. It was a very springy, hard, spring mattress that served to grossly amplify any movement or sound from one's partner, let alone your own movements. It was just plain awful and uncomfortable. If the mattresses ever get upgraded, we would happily return and recommend. If not, we will definitely be staying elsewhere next time.
Recommended. Nice place. Check-in was easy. Booked it for a work trip. Clean. Not a hotel (I was a little surprised as I used my works booking system and thought that it was). Rooms are more like little condos. Everything is very modern. I went to a near bye fitness facility (Jims Gym) and worked out for free (because I was a guest at the resort) which made it worth it for me because I really liked the gym. I would visit OT again if/when Im in the area.
I go here almost every year for a week and cant say enough how great it is. The 3 bedroom town homes we stay in are spacious, quiet and fairly modern located under large trees for shade. Located right on Rath Trevor Beach with endless beach when the tide is out. Swimming pool and hot tub is very nice and the kids love it! Highly recommend.
Reasonably priced resort with a good pool for kids, a decent hot tub, a nice little playground and easy access to the beach and tidal flats. Free loans of sports balls and sand toys. Friendly and helpful staff. Perfect for young families.
