I went in to the day spa to purchase product, was asked if I had an appointment. When I said I was looking for a specific product they pointed where it was and completely ignored me. I looked at it for a while, no one said any thing to me. I left, they didn't even say goodbye.
My wife and I had ninety-minute massages today and we were disappointed. General Problems- I entered the spa and no one was at reception. I took a seat and waited almost 10 minutes before someone came out front (I was early and wasnt in a rush). The person was surprised to see me. I was surprised that they didnt say any type of welcome or hi.- The bathrooms garbage was overflowing, minor thing but disgusting none the less.- On the topic of the bathroom, there were no towels or way that I could see to dry my hands. The basket that I assume normally had them was empty.Massage Specific- Neither of the therapists introduced themselves to us (we still dont know their names), did not ask what we were looking for, did not ask about any preferences, injuries or areas I would prefer not to have massaged.- I took the initiative and specifically requested an area not be touched (one toe which was still recovering from losing the nail during my last marathon). The therapist hit that area twice and I had to quickly pull away.- Based on my experience on the table, I dont think my therapist had any massage specific training. I hate to say it, but it was an awful massage She seemed to lack focus, didnt seem to know any common massage techniques and generally just didnt do a good job - minus the last 5 minutes when I got a pretty damn good head massage.- A minor thing but really disgusting was turning over and staring at a light, with multiple dead bugs in it, for the second half of the massage. The two staff I encountered at the spa were nice people to talk to but it was generally a very poor experience. Hopefully this was just a result of holiday hours and not a result of the spas service level in general but I will not be back to find out the answer.
I've been here a few times for pedicures and did the Little Time for Me package once. Amazing experience every time. Left relaxed and rejuvenated. My feet felt like baby feet again! :D
Pleasant place and good service at the time, but I have never had a manicure with gel polish fail this quickly- I was passing through, or I would have gone back and complained in person. Top coat lost its shine and scuffed within days and tips began wearing and chipping almost immediately.
